We all have our limits, we're only human

Life stories

“The story’s power lies in the idea that he suffered just as you or I would have. Like all heroes, Jesus’ suffering is for others.” – Brian McDonald – Invisible Ink.

You and I, on the other hand, are only human. When we suffer enough, we get to our limits. We resist change, as Brian McDonald says.

In his marvelous book Invisible ink, he writes: “I don’t know why the world works this way, but the things we should do are always the most difficult.”

I will not go into details, but I feel this way now; somehow, this simple sentence resonates with me tremendously at this point in time.

So… I’ll stop being the hero in my life for a second; sacrifice is not my thing, but Jesus’.

I’ll take a break now.
